- Saturday, April 21, 2012: Growing and Cooking with Fresh Herbs at Reid’s Fine Foods. 11:00am-2:00pm – This is one of Heidi Billotto’s favorite seasonal classes, so get a jump start on this year’s herb garden with a little help from Windcrest Farms organic herbs and great recipes from Charlotte’s Culinary Expert Heidi Billotto. Cost of the class includes a take home organic herb plant from Windcrest Farm. Reid’s will also have additional herbs to stock your kitchen garden. Cost: $70. - Wednesday, April 25, 2012: Passion8 Bistro Farm-to-Fork Dinner Series, Fort Mill, SC. 6:30pm. Monthly event series featuring the harvest of a particular farm. This event features A Little Bit of Heaven Farm. Four courses, $48 per person. Call (803) 802-7455 for reservations.

- Saturday, April 28, 2012: BLT Steak Charlotte welcomes spring with a “Fresh from the Farmer’s Market” cooking class. 2:00 p.m. Chef Ben Miles will select ingredients from the Matthews Community Farmers’ Market that are in peak harvest and teach guests how to work with whatever is in season. Class attendees will receive a recipe packet and watch as Chef Miles demonstrates how to create a delicious seasonal dish in the home kitchen. Each guest will be able to enjoy the featured dish at the end of the class and partake in a Q&A. Cost: $45 per person, plus tax and gratuity. - Saturday, May 5, 2012: On the Farm at Proffitt Family Cattle Ranch. Tours of the ranch at 1:30 and/or 3 pm. Cooking, eating and drinking take place from 4:00-7:00pm. This month, its a Cinco de Mayo theme with beefy Mexican dishes for each course, plus a sweet litle something for dessert – Cost $75. - Saturday, May 19, 2012: Farm to Fork Taste-nic. What’s a 5K & Farm-to-Fork Taste-Nic? Run a 5k or 1 mile family fun run through the town of Davidson. Finish your race on the Town Green, where in celebration, local chefs will be cooking local farm food dishes and providing tastings in a picnic-style setting! It’s a Taste-Nic! After a long hiatus Heidi Billotto will be cooking back On the Farm at New Town Farms in Waxhaw with hosts Sammy and Melinda Koenigsburg.
